TEDxMargao: Sparking Ideas and Inspiring Change in Goa
We are thrilled to announce the inaugural TEDxMargao event, set to take place on June 30th, 2024, at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. TEDxMargao is an independently organised event, licensed by TED, that brings together a diverse group of thinkers, innovators, and change-makers from Goa and beyond to share their inspiring ideas and stories under the theme “Breaking Barriers.”
About TEDxMargao
The goal of TEDxMargao is to establish a platform that facilitates the sharing, nurturing, and transformation of insightful ideas into action. The event will feature a lineup of dynamic speakers from various fields, including technology, entertainment, design, science, and more. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to engage with thought-provoking talks, performances, and interactive sessions designed to stimulate discussion and ignite curiosity.
Event Highlights
- Inspiring Speakers: Our carefully curated roster of speakers includes a few well-known Goan names, such as Katya Coelho, a 19-time national gold medalist in windsurfing; Mario Fernandes, a free diving athlete; Varun Carvalho, a musician famous for his FC Goa Anthem; Kedar Borker, a co-founder; Soul Travelling, to name a few, who will deliver talks on topics ranging from overcoming obstacles, inclusive tourism, from darkness to light, free diving metaphor, and many more.
- Innovation Hub: This initiative is designed to showcase the remarkable talents and innovative solutions developed by local Goan visionaries. Our goal is to create an experimental area where these groundbreaking ideas can be shared with a wider audience, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.We have six innovators from Goa showcasing their work.
- Cultural Performances: Enjoy performances by local artists such as the powerhouse Fadista ‘Nadia Rebelo’, Siddharth Cota, Samuel Afonso and Alan D’Souza, a bunch of very talented local musicians, showcasing Goa’s rich cultural heritage.
- Global Impact: As part of the global TEDx community, TEDxMargao connects our local audience to a worldwide network of ideas and initiatives.

Ravi Kambhoj, who has extensive experience handling large events, organises TEDxMargao. His events primarily focus on taking local stories and ideas to the global stage. Ravi’s leadership and vision have been instrumental in bringing together a dedicated team of volunteers.
